At a distance of 45 minutes from Korfos you will find Acrocorinth, the legendary monument of the old city-state of Corinth, built according to the legend by Bellerophon or according to the story by Kypselos. The old market, the temple of Apollo, the castle that emphatically dominates the hill, still carry something of the smell of the once great capital of trade, Laida, the python of Diogenes and Sisyphus.
Lovers of history can also visit the Corinth Canal, the legendary construction of the time, before the opening of the Isthmus, for the land towing of the ships that wanted to pass from the Corinthian to the Saronic or vice versa.
